Time Ii Poem by Luke Easter

Time Ii

God may not come when you call Him but He’ll be right on time,
Have you ever lost something only years later you would find?
At the same time realizing it wasn’t so important to recover it then,
Ever have an enemy turn out to be your one and only true friend?

Willie Krause says, “I’m moving in inches but I’m moving, ”
At 94 years old it never entered his mind that he was losing,
Keep thinking and speaking victory, it will come together,
This conjures up another saying, “better late than never.”

Pain is at an all time high while finances are at an all time low,
The enemy tells you to stop but the spirit says continue to go,
Do not become unequally yoked with others, who disbelieve,
Press forward on the word of God instead of by what you see.

Not everything that’s going on in life, do you have to know,
The storm that surrounds is intended for your crops to grow,
Seed planted underground springs to life but we know not how,
The bible says don’t grow weary because it will take a while.

What's good for us isn't always chocolate flavored or candy sweet,
Sometimes to smell the victory we must taste the agony of defeat,
Picture in your mind the terror of Jesus being nailed to the cross,
Although He won, at that time didn’t it look as if He actually lost?

On occasion you might have to decrease your army from too many,
I don’t know how you feel but God plus me is more than plenty,
Judges 7, Gideon’s number was 300 after starting with 32,000 grand,
Asking who was fearful and afraid 22,000 turn around and ran.

An additional 10,000 people were tested and left out of the battle,
When at the river they lapped water like inattentive dogs or cattle,
Soon, quick, fast, in a hurry, before it turns out to be too late,
Get rid of anyone and everything that’s an anchor of dead weight.

Should the need ever arise for an army be careful whom you pick,
Matthew 17: 15, lest you choose someone’s whose labeled a lunatic,
One day they’re drowning in the water, the next 1 burning in a fire,
Every war will be lost with soldiers that have a hot then cold desire.

What’s a small thing for God, to us is a problem that’s so great,
Even heroes like Moses, Job, Caleb, Jeremiah & Paul had to wait,
Stop wasting your energy thinking what else must I be able to do,
Keep thanking God for the promise; soon it will be your Time II.
