When the evening will fade to morning's light
And when I can hold you all through the night

When intimacy rules the hallowed dark
And the light of romance suddenly sparks

When I look in your eyes and find love, true
And, all of the day think fondly of you

It is so sad to leave those sweet green eyes
Oh, how I long to hold you 'til sunrise
