Thoughts - Tomorrow Poem by Diana Rosser

Thoughts - Tomorrow

I bought a Japonica
because of ‘Naming of Parts'
Today the dark pink buds
are opening into little coral stars.
I wonder if tomorrow's morning sun
catches them, they too
will in my garden glisten.

The sun did not awaken stars
or burst through oppressive clouds of grey.
No sunbeams toiled or threw welcome light
on my Japonica today.
I wonder if tomorrow's kindly sun
will return to ease in spring
and once more bees and flowers
will answer, by blossoming.
