Thoughts Of Homecoming Poem by Amber Lyn Charneski

This home coming week
the week we dress up
in funny outfits as we
wait for the weeks end

We wait for the game
so we can cheer them
our football players on
to a possible victory

Now that I'm a senior
I'm stuck thinking about
something else more then
the big homecoming game

Now I mostly think about
the homecoming dance
and my shimmering dress
that I'll be wearing

My mind always wonders
through the questions
in my head of will I
get invited to come

Will I go with friends
or will I find a date
where will we get ready
who will take pictures

And well will this be
the homecoming that
I will always remember
my last homecoming dance

Well I hope so because
I want to have this be
my perfect homecoming
possibly spent with a guy

That I really like because
in my eyes he seems
to be the perfect guy
cause he is who he is

He's always so sweet
and he looks cute
when he sits and drawing
quietly next to me

now it's thursday
it's toga day for us seniors
and it's just me and him
in green shirts and white togas
