This Theory Poem by Brian Stafford

This Theory

I’ve been hungry for some knowledge,
but I think I ate too much;
Taking in far too many facts,
that it’s made me out of touch;

I’ve been burning too much candle,
with my head stuck in a book;
Taking in too many studies,
that I just can’t bear another look,

I’ve been wallowing in learning,
I just can’t read another line,
I think I’ll have to wash it down,
with a glass of hot gluvine,

This theory, is making me weary, making me dreary,
making my head work all the time;
This theory, is making me crazy, making me lazy,
making my head hurt all the time.
