This Night Restless I Sleep By Rasul Gamzatov

* * *

This night restless I sleep,
I dream that I fled followed you,
Jumping on the ledges of the rock
In the land that was unknown to you and to me.

Then suddenly the part of the rock is separated,
And you swam in the open sea.
Then I swim, but the hard shafts
Stood by the wall, blocked the way to me.

And again I was in the mountains, and
The avalanche of a snow slid rattling from the height,
And suddenly the earth change the anger to the mercy -
The sky shining, and the flowers were blooming.

I woke up at this moment and you
Came to me again or I dream you.
