This Me Poem by Carolyn Michael

This Me

This me wants a pain
A sharp one that pokes ribs
No dull aches that press so hard
On my charred breast
This me wants a pain

This me wants a place
In the cave of morphing meadow
Dark as his funeral suit
But sweet as a hot honeycomb
This me wants a place

This me wants a stallion
A white one with black
This me wants that you to ride it
Pound upon wet morn grass
This me wants a stallion

This me wants that you to ride it
