This Is The Truth, Not Quite A Sonnet Poem by Daniel Bowyer

This Is The Truth, Not Quite A Sonnet

Maybe I am in love after all
Maybe me and you are meant to be
Perhaps I hurt for you cause your supposed to be here
And I tell you my darkest feelings cause I know there safe with you
And I know the infatuation is long gone sweetheart
You don't see me as the perfect soulmate
And you look at the other boys and want there more than you want me
And I know all your love was wasted
We have been in love more than a year, much more than a year
And so what that your leaving, I will love you still
Gosh I will love you even when i'm gone

So sad is this situation how can true love fail?

Thought I was some big bad boy to sweep little lover off her feet
Maybe I did, and when I decided to show up it was love
And when I didn't did I break you heart? Cause I never knew
Coward, indeed as in all things but never more scared as when i'm in love
And I am with you, the only girl who knows who lost I really am
Yes I clearly need clarity, and a saviour and that was always you
Rosey lips and cheeks what is not to love
My dear you aren't perfect but never has one come so close as you
