This Is My Day Poem by Bamisaye Adeniran

I woke with my expectation full to the bream
When my maker is not asleep
I will rise to the top
I will make it

I have a father who is crazy about me
He is an investor
He has invested much in me
I will yield

This is my day
I have no doubt
The top is made for me
I am not gonna give it up

Though I feel weak inside
His strength is always on my side
My strength can no longer move me on
I will rely on the source for strength.

My victory will be heard all over
I believe today is my day
At last, I will shout hurray
For it’s my day.
