This Heavy Heart

This heavy heart of mine
causes a dull thud in my
chest. Unintentional actions
have caused this anvil heart
of mine to beat slow and dull.
I make mistakes, just as
everyone else. I am only human,
I am not perfect as to be perfect
would to be not human. To show
remorse is to be human, expressing
regret and sorrow, I am this.
