This Day Poem by Roilynn brown

This Day

Seconds, minutes, hours, this moment, this day.

Measured how?
By thought, by action, or what you say.

If measured by thought? ,
the unlimited speed and distance makes contact superior.
It transcends any boundaries of a limited interior.

If measured by action? ,
the motion of the action adds meaning as it revolves.
The goal of the action is a purpose that resolves.

If measured by what you say? ,
words like a two-edged sword, cut this and that way.
A weak, crooked slice for evil, a strong slice for good that's bold.
These words are true, or so I've been told.

Whether thought, action, or word spoke is measured by love,
then the seconds, minutes, hours, this moment, is timeless,
This Day.
