Thirty Years Poem by Bonnie Harding

Thirty Years

For thirty years we've been side by side,
and always let our hearts be our guide.
The years flew by, full of laughter and tears,
But together we made it through another year.

You have a way of keeping me on solid ground,
As life seems to deal us so many ups and downs.
I have a way with words that seems to calm you,
and together we always figure out what to do.

There's been dark storms pop up to block our way
hand in hand we rode them out to a brighter day.
We wonder sometimes if it's the best thing to do,
but our hearts take over and pulls us through.

You're everything I'm not, I'm everything you need,
we promised to grow old together, we both agreed.
So we put the bad times away, close that door,
And we'll be side by side for thirty years more, , , ,
