They Live In Outer Space Poem by Phil Smith

They Live In Outer Space

It's black, every night it's black
The vast emptiness
Too big to understand
Billions of miles wide
No one can go there
No one leaves there

He stares at the stars
He stares from the stars
A billion miles of emptiness
Separates the two, both wondering
If the other exists
Does anyone live amongst the stars
