~these Scars Will Speak~ Poem by E Nigma

~these Scars Will Speak~

Rating: 4.3

There is no light here, chaos to speak
My lips, they move, but I, I hear no sound
What are mere words to carry this sense?
Collapsed they fall, fall one in all

Abandoned here in this boundless surrounding
Cloaked in shadow I've made my home
A prisoner in the depths past despair
Even fear dare not come here

I was but a boy born in darkness
Where the ominous foretelling was told
Caution appeared and I was thrown to the wind
The elders cold, no love was shown

Fell through heavens and hells unknown
Battle born and trial tested, my appetite grows
It is here I released fire from it's prison
Passed through It's embrace and shed my skin

I didn't see the light until I was already a man
Growing into something more than
But by then it was nothing to me but blinding
Yet enlightened, I rose from the ashes and spoke

I am the sun, I am the moon
I am the one that breathes fire
I'll build it up and burn it down
This bridge that lies before you

Was this fate molded by the choices you made
Because fear dictates its power?
Well I tore fear limb from limb
Now the time has come, your hour
