These Lies I'Ve Told Poem by Beautifully Unknown

These Lies I'Ve Told

I wake up each day to relive this lie
The one i tell to make you think I'm alright
Everyone else believes
They're to blind to see
They'er to blind to see what I've done
To blind to understand what I've become
They will never understand
How can they
They're the ones with warm hands
Warm to the touch
With loving hearts so big noone goes uncharished
My hands are cold
Even when held I am often asked
Why are you so cold
Can you not love
There is no hope for me
I try to explain
Yet you'll never get it
One so cold can never be warmed
Not even by love
For they can not
For love can't consume their soul
Like it does yours
Yes you care about me
But I do not care about you
Theres only room enough for one in my heart
And that one is me
Noone else belongs
Noone can set me free
For i am the one that holds the key
These chains that bind me
Will break with my hand and my hand alone
So it will never be done
So i'll keep living this lie hoping to die
Yet wishing I could feel warm inside like you
Wishing I wasn't so cold
That my heart wouldn't be black
Hoping that I can love
Wishful thinking yes I know
I will wake up yet agian
To live these lies I've told
