There Was A Time

You don't know about because you can't remember

You dare not reach for it as it burns like an ember

You can't compare it to your now & to come

It never began so its never been done

No records recall anything was ever forgotten

Not even a taste of pleasant nor rotten

Unprofiled amongst the amalgam of aromas

A stranger amidst the labyrinth of personas

Too small to be subatomic, too complex to be a celestial planet

Too black & mysterious for you to understand it

There was a time you can never recover

Even if its narrative you finally discover
