There's No Escaping What's Inside Poem by Gabriella Franco

There's No Escaping What's Inside

Whispers of x's and o's
Nobody ever knows
The red stain on the
White lace grows

There's no escaping
What's inside
She only dreams
In black and white

Nothing is real
Nothing feels right
Her cuts dont heal
Over lost time

Her white dress is ripped
And dirty from the grease of you
Her world was so dang confusing
And you helped her make it through

She never understood a word
That came out of your mouth
But she understood the feeling
You said you had for her, now

Rewind, let's not go there
10 cuts for the letters in your name
Ever since that midnight hour
Nothing's been the same

She went downhill, no trust
In herself, her friends, family
Her heart is broken, open
'Cuz you threw away the key

Whispers of x's adn o's
Nobody ever knows
The red stain on the
White lace grows

There's no escaping
What's inside
She only dreams
In black and white

Her gloves stained red
From her own black blood
Eyes that don't cry
Brim with a deadly flood

The blade defies her wrist
So gracefully
She'd never been
So needy

She's holding on to him
Like theres nothing left
She doesnt blame you for stealing her heart
But what you did WAS theft

Its only hurts when her eyes are open
So if she closes them will it all go away?
She tries to smile the memories gone
No matter how much she laughs, she's never okay

He's not there, so she cries
He was the only one she could trust
She never knew that he would be remembered
As the only one she ever loved

He felt more for her
It seemed that way to both
But as it turns out
She's the one who's alone

Theres never a right time
To say goodbye
But she wishes he gave her
Just one more night

Whispers of x's and o's
Nobody ever knows
The red stain on the
White lace grows

There's no escaping
What's inside
She only dreams
In black and white
