In the morning when I rise
Even as I open my eyes
Help me to realize
There is hope
As I prepare for the day ahead
Even as I make my bed
And thinking of the challenges ahead
There is hope

So you say you want to die
Life is not worth living
Stop for a minute, take a closer look
And see the progress you’re making
Obstacles and challenges we must face each day
But refusing to deal with them will not make it go away
Giving up is so easy, anyone can do it
But it takes a strong person to face life and get through it

They say the grass is greener on the other side
This may be true
But don’t hate where you are now
And let it make you blue
Timing is everything
Don’t despise your beginnings
Take inventory of your life
And see how much you’re winning
Yes times are hard, yes times are tough
But there is coming a time when God will say
Enough is enough

Know that God loves you and He has a plan
Just be a bit more patient and take a stand
Don’t ever give up, don’t you ever give in
Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying deep within
There is hope for today and hope for tomorrow
There is hope for lives filled with sorrow
So rise up each day with hope
Even if there will be obstacles to face
Just know that tomorrow will be filled with new grace
I’ve said it before and I will say it again
There is hope if you’ll believe it, and just know you’re going to win
