there will
always be something
to write

for as long as you are
sensitive enough
in such a way that you
can see a needle in the sky
or a grain of sand
in the deepest trench
of surigao

for as long as you keep
on living and noting what
is happening each day

not just what is there but
what is missing
not just what is said
but what is not uttered

there will always be something
to write

even if it is not
poetry at all, even if it is
nothing

there is always something
to write about....
