Another Decade About To End
In The Years Of Men
Another Past Descends …

The Year Is 2010
Another Day To Spend
Each Hour - In Minutes Begin
From Seconds - Each One Spins

Today Is October 12
I Hope I Spend It Well
So My Life Can Tell
I’ve A Good Schedule–Bell

But How Can We Count The Day
In The Scales, Forever Weighs?
How Can We Count The Years
When Eternity Appears? …

Just Up Ahead, Yet Out Of Reach
A Time Capsule We Must Breach
Or A Time-School That Must Teach
The Way Infinity Speaks

The Year Is 2010
So Let Us Just Pretend
We Have Hopes To Send
Where History and Future Blends

The Year Is 2010
Technology Stays In Trend
Babies Are Just Around The Bend
Other Lives – Just Won’t Mend …

The Year Is 2010
Another Decade Is On The Wind
Time’s A Creditor Who Lends
But It’s The Payback We Cringe

… and Is This Year My Friend
Or Time-Warp I’m Stuck In
I’ll Spin The Wheel – But Then …
Time Always Seems To Win

… Put Some Brownies In The Oven
Watch TV In Our Den
Remember Places I’ve Been
And Want To Go In 2010

The Year Is 2010
Found A Wrinkle In My Skin
Another Sign Of Sin
Bow My Head and Say … Amen

And Hope My Prayers Ascend … in 2010 …
