The Wine-Dark Sea (I) Poem by Mathias Svalina

The Wine-Dark Sea (I)

So many suns
clanking
& for each, also,
an inner noise.

The writing
never stops
descending
into its own hole.

What is the opposite of a hole?
The sun?
Photographs?
I think it is astonishment.
