The Wilderness Of My Love Poem by Minnie Gehrig

The Wilderness Of My Love

it was boiling waves really,
they crashed over my flesh,
n it departed,
so i became charred
bones,
n smiles
all teeth
n the rain came,
dought washing over me,
n i became pale as the moon...

n i missed you inbetween dreams,
dances unhinged in the moonlight....
n when your voice could no longer sing to me..

i ran with the fairies
n hunted with the wolves
grew a tougher skin,
n the wilderness of my love
