The Way How Life Is Designed.... Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Way How Life Is Designed....

the goddess arrives
descending from the clouds
bringing you so many things:
a little joy, and its
commensurate sorrow,
and you do the choosing,
which, and which one really
to suit your kind of existence.
there is a room with only
one chair, one window, one bed,
and the house has only one
door and one stairway.
again the goddess asks you
to choose, and there is not
much choices anyway, the way
the house is designed the way
the stair is fixed and the way
how the only bulb by the kitchen
is turned on.
and there comes the moment
when you do not care anymore.
you let her in, you serve your
silence, you look outside the
window, you move to the door,
you open it and take the only
stair of the house and you know
what happens next, which you
must keep in mind, the door
closes, the stairs break down,
and so there is really no
coming back from where you
came and you must keep this
in mind while you walk away
from all these: there shall
be no regret, for the way
how life is designed, it grows
and blooms again, wherever
it settles.
