The Warrior Of Light Poem by Surya Pratap Singh

The Warrior Of Light

On that murky night,
I saw a boy arriving on a ship,
Under that thunder and lighting,
I saw the boy sailing stiff,

The ocean was calm on the ground,
I saw the boy sailing upon it,
The ocean was harsh at the top and around,
I saw the boy sailing half sinked,

The night was deep and the thunder was loud,
I saw the boy's sailing wet and shattered,
The night was cruel and the lightening bright out,
I saw the boy tearing the waves gathered,

Where was he sailing to?
To an island, or a kingdom, or to her lover's woo,
Where was he coming from?
From a war, or a marriage, or heartbreaks two,

The boy was a man or yet not, it was hard to say,
He breathed like a tired tiger asleep,
The boy might be in the middle of it, sailed till the mid way,
The rain might 've washed away his weep,

I was sailing beside him,
In a boat thinner and smaller,
His ship sailed by me,
Upon it standing a manboy, wider and taller,

He had no disciples, no Labour, no servant,
He was sailing alone in the night to fathom it,
He had no weapon, no sword, no hand
He was sailing alone upon the ocean unfathomably deep,

The ocean was howling as a monster beneath,
He sailed until the rising sun,
The ocean was growling a hungry death,
He sailed until the yellow vision,

Sailing beside him, I was walking on his path,
In the deep, unfathomable murky night,
I learned his destination was sun,
The warrior of light
