The Truth Is Out Poem by Hopeless Heart

The Truth Is Out

As I down another one
Tears start to cloud me eyes,
But this time I don’t run
Instead I undo all my lies,

I’ve wanted to do this for so long,
It’s been eating me apart,
I always knew it was wrong
But I didn’t listen to my heart,

As my friends gather around me
As I tell them what I’ve done,
With each word I feel free,
I almost feel I’ve won,

Arms wrap around me
And hold me tight,
They finally see
On this cold and hectic night,

We fall asleep where we lay
In each others embrace,
Tomorrows a better day,
Especially in my case.
