The thing known as love of self out there you cannot find
It is born and lives within you in the confines of your mind
In your love and compassion for others it always seems to show
Those who have love of self are nice people to know,
Those who have love of self never put others down
And they never yearn to be the best loved in the town
They are happy as they are doing their good deeds every day
And to help those in need of help they do go out of their way,
They do not even expect thanks after performing a good deed
Those with the love of self of more of them we are in need,
Those with the love of self to say the least are rare
In their selfless love and compassion with others their great gifts they do share,
To be the wealthiest and most famous one in the town with others they don't compete
And one of them every day you are not likely to meet.
