The Testament Of A Grand Sinner Poem by Phillip Ellis

The Testament Of A Grand Sinner

I have lived in the night when the demons all roam,
and have made in the middle of evil my home,
I have roamed with both witches and ghouls in the night
and have supped with the Devil beneath the moonlight.

I have stolen from graves, and have eaten their flesh,
and have woven my spells in the valley of Kesh,
I have cursed all the gods in their eyries so high,
and with demons and vampires, and hunts did I fly.

I have raped and have murdered both maiden and man,
and have caused the destruction of cities that span
both the reaches of time and the rivers that run
from the mountains to oceans the sea-god has spun.

And no sin was too great, and no sin was too small,
to partake of in truth, and I'm standing thus tall,
for I'm more than most men with the evil I've done
and I'm more than most gods with the joys I have won.
