The Tango Poem by michele kostelnik

The Tango

Rating: 4.5

he walked boldly across that big floor

then took my hand saying-lets explore

we were face to face defiantly so

his arms came around me as we danced so slow

posing no difficulty we glided with ease

we were a vision for all in the nights breeze

over and around we moved with marvelous poise

as we danced - there was hardly a noise

we went toward one side then to the other

it was a classic love scene aflame but then
started to smother

the music played with an element of class

the time was coming for this beauty to pass

his arm held me as I fell back-its true!

it was part of the dance as lights on
the floor turned to purple and blue

he bent over me and our eyes met

then smiled and said I won't forget

conforming to all fairness, he faded away

one time-one night-is still with me today!
