The Sword Of Simeon Poem by John Bannister Tabb

The Sword Of Simeon

Blest be the sword that cleft her heart in twain!
Else had the 'pondered word' forever lain
Within the temple of her soul concealed,
Whose wound the thoughts of many a heart revealed:
Yea, to the source from whence the waters flow
The spear that smites the fountain-Rock must go.
