Look! The hardy breed of humans in worn-out jackets
prostrate, stretch their folded palms, worship,
stand up,walk ahead the distance covered
and again they fall down and pray to Lord Siva
with folded palms! When people from India walk
around the hilly terrain of Mt. Kailash with a stick
or hire a horse to circum-ambulate the abode of God,
the mighty Tibettans go around the hills
of more than twenty two thousand feet high,
in their own all excelling way, mindless of the weather
which brings down the blood pressure
to the dangerous minimum and oxygen level
in our breathing system to an alarming state!
The rural Indians walk with ease and climb up fast
but the city folk cut their journeys half way
and turn back with a grievous heart!
It is the will of God to send them back alive
for their kith and kin to feel happy!
Those who complete the Parigrama [going around the hills]
are people in good physique with surpassing verve
to worship God bearing the adverse clime and all.
Those who turn back are also lucky
to have the grace of God for coming back alive.
Those who lose their breath are really
taken to the gleaming heaven where God resides!
