The Strike Of A Snake Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Strike Of A Snake

Without any warning
Sneaking out of
The darkness deep
A demon arrives
Before the thunder
Before the lightning
It strikes!
A heavy rain
Comes plunging down
Very cold!
The demon it arrives
Showing no mercy
It sticks it's head out
Quickly it bites!

The snake with
It's powerful venom
Poison upon its
Deadly tongue
It strikes
And the victim
It cannot be saved!
