The Stars And The Pixie Poem by Tiffny Rhodius

The Stars And The Pixie

Rating: 5.0

'Hello, ' says the little pixie child to the night sky.
'Hello, ' echoes the stars in reply.
'Say, won't you go on a journey with me
'Through the Milky Way and back to the sea? '
The pixie child asked with such glee.
'Certainly, it sounds like an exciting journey
'Except I can't go to the sea! '
Sadly the stars told the pixie.

'Oh for to be together, I'll breach this galaxy
'To hold your hands and gaze at your beauty, '
Sang the pixie.

'Surely you flatter me
'And yes, I wish it could be
'But really we can never be'
'For I am in the skies and you in the sea!
'Our love can never be, '
Cried the stars solemnly.
