There was a song she could sing
A song she wanted to sing
But not through her mouth
It was shut with heavy anguish
Her voice was gone through her cry
Cry for the loss of the bundle of joy
She could not sing the song
It was composed long ago
At the conception
His conception
A sweet song
A lullaby meant for him
Only him
When he would be delivered
And become a baby
When he would need to sleep
Or when he would cry
But he did not cry
He just went to sleep
To sleep; never wake again
She took his place and cried
But the song was never lost
It resided in her mind and heart
Now revealed in her eyes
Made louder by the tears coming down her face
She heard it herself
Nobody else heard it!
