The Sinfullness Poem by Jan Oskar Hansen

The Sinfullness

The sin
Let the children come to us the cleric said
and in the name of god they abused the small.
God was talking about the purity of innocence
only children and animals possess.
Some priests became ruled by the devil and
destroyed the innocence for temporary lust.
On the day of reckoning, they must answer
why they let Satan take over their mind.
Were they willing victims of his will or did them?
act dwelling in their hearts only waiting for
The call to sin?
It is a conundrum the human mind is so quickly
let astray when they follow their animalistic
instinct and thinking it is god's will.
