The shell around me


You look at me, eyes so sweet no matter what I see there’s no better for me.
I can say I've found someone I can care for; I can say I found someone that is true

And you know

I've been lost, I’ve been hurt, I’ve been down, I’ve never been lifted off the ground, my hard shell is o so hard to breech___

For someone to see the real me, I cannot believe you’ve gotten past the shell I’ve made so strong, I can not believe you gotten into me, I cannot believe your in my shell now I see.

And still even knowing that

I’ve been lost, I’ve been hurt, I’ve been down, I’ve never been lifted off the ground, my hard shell is oh so hard to breech

With you I can say you saw the real me, for you know what’s really in me you see my pain, my love, my hate, ever thing that ever bothered me but
Then. You. Leave.

It was the end for me, you lifted me, you saved me, and this is so hard to believe, I can’t say I’m alright I can’t say ill be fine I can’t say what I mean anymore.

I’m on the ground I’m hurt even worse then before, the shell I have made is no more, now you see who I am, now you know what I do now you know who I really am

I guess you just got the best of me…
