The Rose Of Love Poem by Stephen A. Codekas

The Rose Of Love

And now her body is at rest,
Eternal sleep her reward,
Battle won against the Tempest,
A brief respite from those adored.
Free from the vessel,
Bruised and mangled,
Safe with her Love to nestle
With and forever be entangled.
A thousand winters may come and go,
Cold’s icy chill penetrating through.
Spring will come, your Love will flow.
God gave us a Tower of Virtue,
A model compass, a pure dove.
He gave us a Rose of Love.
