The Reflection Poem by Vidur Mohta

The Reflection

Feeling dejected, anguished or low,
Worried about who would accept you,
Or maybe someone who would not.

Take a breath, rejuvenate,
Look into the mirror of time,
Listen to the laughter rising from the depth.

Set free the child within you,
Do what makes you happy,
Walk in beauty, entertain your soul.

Set sail the paper boat of childhood,
At night, lay bare your feelings,
Give wings to desires innate and dream.

And even when all dark clouds surround you,
Whistle and blow them away,
Play the perfect symphony in harmony.

As you are what you project,
So let the sun shine through you,
With the sheen of moon sparkling the doubts away.

Let the life sing you a cacophony, don't fret,
Whence you creep back to life and love,
Only then people enjoy your reflection.
