Searching for the reason
For being in this world
In this mortal form
Why I am here, not there
What for am I needed
And where oh where!
I see no roots
That hold me still
In some place
I can call mine
And with the wind
I keep drifting away
Searching for the answers
I can see the love
That people share
I can feel the pain
That is hidden away
I can see the world
For what it is
The way it is
And the way it has been
But what am I doing here
Drifting away from everything
I dont know what it is
That is troubling me
But I know for sure
The answer lies
Somewhere here within
In due time
I will know
The reason for my being
But drifting away
I fear what I have become!
