In the court of law
Justice is neither here nor there
Suspended in the inflated balloon of procedures
Justice is hanging on by a thread
And it is Injustice that is about to be celebrated
It is totally acceptable to follow procedures
But what if Justice dies?
It is not unusual for the court
To declare Justice dead
In the name of fairness
It is the fabric of law
That allows Injustice to be an equal partner
In this tug of war
The rich and wealthy know this
And the politically connected are well aware of it
It is the poor who are left in the dark
In the pursuit of Justice (and/or Injustice)
