The Protective Light

You said
You were going to be gone
But not for long
I hugged you
And let you go
You turned
And saw my crystal tear
Shatter upon the ground
You told me
When you miss me
Wait for the sun
Stand in it's light
And that will be me
Protecting you
You walked away
Into the dark
And I waited
All night
For the protective light
To come
