The Progression Poem by SC. Crews

The Progression

Rating: 4.5

I don't understand who I am anymore.
I've changed progressively,
And then I fall again.
I'm hidden beneath the metal,
Chaining my every move.
Trapped under piles of lies and rubble.
I stumble to the stone cold earth.
I can't find me,
I'm lost in the dark forest,
One which is full of traps,
They look so inviting,
But bring no good,
The moments cherished,
fade away,
As I enter the metal ambuscade,
For what I have found,
I have lost,
And everything I touch,
I cannot keep,
For this is my reality,
Though it is not what I intended it to be.
