The Poem From Mama Poem by Samweli Butobi

The Poem From Mama

Mama everything you did I call
The poems from mama
The echo of the sound of the poems
Their rhythmic sound, in my ears, unspeakable
The silent voice of the poet reading for mama,
Crying every night, sounding strange and confused
You sensed the reason to cry till you understood

The poems from mama
Quizzically I sense the meaning
For that deep felt tenderness attached to me
The question always unanswered
I’m no longer that silent and submissive little boy to you?
Don’t make me choose, when you may say
What about me? You always wonderful. Mama

The deep and harmless hidden meaning
Of the verses and stanzas that flows in my blood
The poems. Mama your words and your songs that cared
The poet, that me your child you gave everything you had
The content. The life I live and lived I won’t be alone
you will always stay by my side

I feel better keeping it that way
Remember, You. Mama only you, to me.
No one is sincere and serious about anyone
But no one could care me like you
As I eat poems, I call them poems, because I live
The love you gave to me engafuls my live
