we were brought
to the place where Moses went
high up the mountain
talked to God and got all
the tablets
the ten commandments
the climb started at 3 o'clock
dawn
and the air was so cold
and the mountain too steep
and so we hired the Bedouin
for his camels
and with ease we arrived there
without much qualm
and when we came back
down the mountain
riding on the camel guiding
by the Bedouin
we were ready with our pictures
and stories to tell
and by God i swear we still
smell the foul odor of those
camels.
