The Past Is A Graveyard Poem by Eric Schojan

The Past Is A Graveyard

Rating: 1.0

The past is a graveyard, the things left there are ghosts
You try to sneak back past the guards at their posts

But eventually you're caught, pulled back into the present
the memories chased remain safe curled in their crescents

An ever going stuggle between the future and the past
You better live today 'cause tomorrows might not last

Chipped away at your mind, chipped away at your soul
And sooner or later you just have to let it show

And untill you get the courage to do what must be done
Your shoulders will be buried under more weight until youre gone

Let the battle rage, who you knew and who you know
But the present always loses 'tll you let your past go.

A nice message. It's hard to move forward when continuing to live in the past.
