The Pangs Of Humanity Poem by Eden Trinidad

Men are created in God's very image
But how come this beautiful creation became evil?
Men turned into murderers, robbers, rapist and uncivil.
It all began from the garden of Eden
When the Serpent started to corrupt Eve's mind
He sowed the seed that men can be liked, God
And that they will never die,
If they eat of that forbidden fruit.
The Lord meant it good for men
Giving them the paradise to live in
But men chose to bite the bait
Their hearts and minds have been filled with poison
From then on...
Men chose the easy paths but evil ways.
Life became difficult
Sin crept so easily.
Men and women embrace worldly things
Stepping on each others foot, pulling each other down
Backstabbing one another to SURVIVE.!
The evil is the same in every society
Because of poverty, greed, grievances
Love of money, hunger for power and fame
Those who are poor and helpless
The powerless and shameless
Becomes the victims of those that are powerful
Famous and greedy.
Our political leaders never get tired of sweet promises
Promises that they never meant to relish
This is our world, our haven, ourshelter
Sadly, our leaders who run this world
Some no longer blush for their actions
There's no other way to change the hearts of men
Unless we behave and become truly humane.
