The Other Guy Anew Poem by Danny The Dreamer Boyd

The Other Guy Anew

Rating: 5.0

Why, here we go again—a different view:
I like someone who's not yet meant for me,
I like their unavailability,
And troubles rising not out of the blue!
Let's have a drink, then all sweet sins renew,
Part with the past, and let our sorrows be,
Remember not to clasp tenaciously—
I took a sip: I thirst for more of you!
I know what we both offer's rather bland,
There is no need for depth in such romance:
It lessens chances of—my love—goodbye!
I'll dive with you in pleasure hand in hand;
Oblivious, let's have our guilty dance,
Before I cease to be the other guy!
