The Ordinary Things That Shape A Life Poem by Norah Tunney

The Ordinary Things That Shape A Life

Rating: 5.0

The ordinary things that shape a life

There is a flame
that burns
in the heart
of the setting sun,
I have felt its presence
it's alive radiance
flowing through everything,
heaven is not
in the extravagant
but in the ordinary little things that shape a life,
this evening
I saw the full moon
rise over the mountain,
every day something
nearly kills me with pleasure.

To have great joy in the simple things is an express ticket to happiness. Just taking a moment to appreciate a fresh sprung flower or a night sky or the kind smile of a stranger, this is the way to a pleasant day. Love the lines every day something nearly kills me with pleasure

Very true there are a number of ordinary things that shape one's life and there are a number of small things which make it meaningful and happy. Thanks for sharing.
