We wake
to our first morning

together
as if we were

Eve & Adam
exploring Eden

for the first
lovely time.

The world unfurling
itself before us

eager to display itself
to our eager eyes.

The simple beauty of

your hand
in mine.

We walk in wonder
through a world

enchanted
by our love

leaving a trail
of cuddles & kisses

by which
signs shall you know us.

The river's waters
hush & hold us

rock us
in a lullaby

as sleepily we
drift downstream

our ever changing reflection
the most wonderful thing in this

world
made beautiful

by love.

And I
a 52 year old
teenager

madly in love

your eyes
the only paradise

that I could ever desire

your hand
in mine

the only Heaven
I have known.
