The Office Poem by Ray Hansell

The Office

When he said, he loved her
He looked her in the eyes
After he said that
All he could do was cry

She was engaged to another man
Her heart already stolen
The love he felt inside for her
Was a secret his heart was holding

He leaned into kiss her
As their arms went around each other
He asked her, are you going to marry him?
His heart dropped not sure he'd recover

She looked him back in the eyes
As tears rolled down her cheeks
She stared at him through watering eyes
Her heart hurting too much to even speak

She was engaged to one man
But felt strong love for another
In the end it all worked out
Together love they would discover
