The Ocean Poem by Derek Ouyang

The Ocean

Rating: 5.0

And you said you'd be back in one year,
Smiling as you shook sand from your shoes
And you told me memories were like broken shells,
Slowly sleeping into soft, unspoken words
And I watched you disappear into the blue,
Sailing towards sundrenched skies
And it hurt so badly to see you go.
